Mission

We are aware that healthcare decisions can be confusing and overwhelming, especially in this day of modern social media and marketing. For these reasons it is our mission to help individuals make informed, candid, face to face decisions regarding orthodontic treatment.

We are here to create a friendly, welcoming environment that you can look forward to sharing with us. We know parents work, kids go to school and schedules get hectic. We'll do our best to assure that work and school schedules are interrupted as little as possible. However, we cannot avoid some school and work time appointments. We'll do our best to work around classes that are very important and will provide school excuses if needed.

Regular Appointments

Your appointment to place your braces or expander, etc. will usually take an hour to an hour and a half. You will then visit every 3-6 weeks for adjustments, which usually takes about 20 minutes. To be fair to everyone, we see patients by appointment only. We understand that things happen and appointments will sometimes be missed or you may arrive late. The specific appointment time scheduled for you is the amount of time necessary to complete your adjustment. We will try to do you a favor by running on time. If you discover that you have to miss an appointment please try to give us 24-48 hours notice. If you discover something is broken it is helpful to let us know ahead of time.

A missed appointment must be rescheduled, which can be difficult because patients schedule appointments 3-6 weeks in advance and our schedule is often filled. Missing an appointment will delay and lengthen treatment time. Your orthodontic success depends on your cooperation and commitment to following our instructions and staying on schedule with your treatment.

Hygiene

It is important to continue to see your general dentist during orthodontic treatment. General dental care and check-ups are the responsibility of the patient and your family dentist during active orthodontic treatment. Check with your dentist to see if they would prefer having the wires removed before your cleaning and we can try to coordinate appointments with your dental office. If you have changed dentists or there has been any change in your medical history please notify our office.
